Girl killed in acid attack

Lumbini, Feb 6: A girl died after being attack with acid at a hotel in Rupandehi district on Sunday night.
Police said that Sunil Koirala, 28, of Naubise, Dhading, hurled acid at Tulsa Sapkota, 27, of Gaindakot-5 in Nawalparasi. The two had stayed in Room No. 103 of Meridian Hotel in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-6.
According to Police, Koirala attacked Sapkota with acid when they engaged in dispute after consuming alcohol.
Seriously injured in the incident, Sapkota died this afternoon while receiving treatment at Universal College of Medical Sciences in Bhairahawa.
The body of Sapkota is kept in Bhairahawa-based Bhim Hospital while alleged Koirala is in police custody, the District Police Office Rupandehi said.
