Kathmandu : Chandragiri Cable Car promoted by Chandragiri Hills Ltd. is offering a special discount of 50% for the entire month of Falgun for first 200 visitors for the cable car ride. This discount offer is valid for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
During the discount offer, the ticket worth of Rs. 700/- for cable car is available in Rs 350/- . Visitors utilizing this offer will not be provided with other discounts. The discount offer tickets can only be purchased from the Thankot office. One visitor can purchase only one ticket and the ticket will be valid for the same day only.
Facility for the Visitors:
Chandragiri Hills Ltd has arranged a bus from Ashok Leyland with the capacity of 42 seats for the visitors willing to visit Chandragiri Hills and offer prayer to Bhaleshwor Mahadev. Visitors can take advantage of this facility free of cost. Busses run on daily basis at around 7:30 am from Bhatbhateni supermarket located at Maharajgunj and Koteshwore of Kathmandu. Bus from Maharajgunj Bhatbhateni takes the route via New bus park, Balaju Bhatbhateni, Swayambhu, Kalanki and reaches Chandragiri Cable Car whereas the bus from Koteshwore Bhatbhateni takes its route via Balkumari, Gwarko, Satdobato, Ekantakuna, Balkhu, Kalanki and reaches Chandragiri Cable Car. These busses would also return back following same route. The tickets for Chandragiri Cable Car is also available from IME centers, IME travels and Bhatbhateni supermarkets.

Located at the south-east of Kathmandu Valley, Chandragiri Hills is quite significant from historical, religious and tourism point of view. This establishment has a purpose of boosting internal tourism as well as luring international tourists and extending their length of stay by least a day.
Located at the height of 2,551 meters above sea level, Bhaleshwor Mahadev can be reached via cable car form the bottom station which is situated on the height of 1,569 metres above sea level. Several facilities like, restaurants, bar, conference hall, children’s playground is available at the hill top. The view tower located at the height of 2547 metres above sea level can be used to see the Kathmandu valley.
Chandragiri Hills Ltd. commercially started its operation from 8th August 2016 and was formally inaugurated by Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Puspa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) dated 15th December 2016.
The technology related with the cable car is from the world renowned company Doppelmayr which has a capacity of carrying around 1000 people in one hour. Since its business operation dated 9th of August 2016 till date……… people have reached the heights of Chandragiri Hills via the medium of cable car.
