Quake-hit schools reconstructed

Babiyachaur (Myagdi), March 14, The reconstruction of Malika Primary School devastated by the 25 April 2015 earthquake has completed on Monday.
The US-based organization – Global Nutrition and Empowerment (GNE) – had provided financial assistance of Rs 1.2 million for the reconstruction of two rooms of the school.
Besides the financial assistance, local people had also contributed kidn labour worth Rs 100,000 to reconstruct the school building.
GNE Chairperson Mary Long inaugurated the reconstructed school building amidst a programme on Monday.
Neuro surgeon by profession, Long had provided the financial support collected from volunteers in the US to the school rebuild.
