SC presents annual report to President

Kathmandu, March 20, Chief Justice Sushila Karki submitted the annual report of the Supreme Court (SC) to President Bidya Devi Bhandari at latter’s office in Shital Niwas on Monday evening.
The report of the Nepali calendar 2072/2073 states that 108,251 cases of total 207, 361 registered at the apex court were settled while 89,110 cases are awaiting verdict.
Similarly, the report shows that total expenditure of the SC for the last fiscal year stood at around Rs 3.36 billion out of Rs 3.74 billion released to it.
The report includes the major works carried out by the SC, appellate courts, district courts, Special Court, Labour Court, Judicial Council, Judicial Service Commission, Revenue Tribunal and Foreign Employment Tribunal during the year.
