Kathmandu : President Bidya Devi Bhandari held a discussion with senior leaders of the major three political parties on matters relating to implementation of the constitution.
In the meeting held at Sheetal Niwas, Rastrapati Bhawan this evening, the President discussed with Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli ways to amend the constitution in course of implementing it. Collective deliberations were held with the three leaders about ways to make the implementation of the new constitution more effective, said the President’s personal deputy secretary Dipa Sharma.
According to Sharma, the President had held discussion on the same issue with President of Federal Socialist Forum Upendra Yadav earlier today.
The President has, since the past few days, expediting deliberations with the Madhesh-centric political party leaders with a focus on ways to resolve the issues raised on the matter of amendment to the constitution.
