Officially inaugurates of The Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (Y.E.S)

Kathmandu :  The British College, Kathmandu recently announced the launch of The Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (Y.E.S) that provides platform to transform ideas into businesses with a strong belief in ‘learning by doing’ approach. Members of the society can capitalize knowledge by being within the society’s framework. The society actively encourages the students to take initiatives and proceed for their professional endeavors. Y.E.S is run by the students and works for the students of The British College.

The programme was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Rajendra Khetan. He highlighted and congratulated YES team for their active initiative and spoke about Trade, Demand and supply, scope and opportunities of doing business in Nepal. Further, he gave insight on endless possibilities. Mr Mahendra Kandel, Director of The British College also attended the event which boosted the morale of the students. This was followed by a short speech by Dr. M.J Barnes, Principal of The British College. He reinforced initiations taken by master’s students, business approaches.

Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (Y.E.S) was founded by 4 Masters level students of The British College -Mr. Subhadra Shree Rajbhandari, Mr. Krishna Bahadur Singh, Mr. Safal Shrestha and Mr. Aawhan Shrestha. YES founders spoke about Sustainable approaches for society’s present and future. The event went smoothly without a glitch motivating many students to join the society. Chief Guest, Mr. Khetan became the first member of the society followed by M.J. Barnes. Students of The British College who have already joined the Y.E.S. society shared the views. The Programme ended with our Chief Guest Mr. Khetan giving Y.E.S badges to new members of the society.

 The British College offer internationally recognised degrees and courses such as BBA, BSc (Hons) Computing, MSc International Management, MBA and MBA (Executive) from The Leeds Beckett University and The University of West of England. The college is also extending its range of course to include MSc Information Management and MSc Public health in the coming year. Currently, the college has more than 1000 students studying various courses.
