1,200 technicians deployed in quake-hit districts resign en masse

 

 

Kathmandu : Some technicians of 11 most quake-hit districts have given resignation en masse on Tuesday, saying the government did not address their demands.
Engineers, overseers and sub-overseers tendered their resignation letter to Chief of Central Project Implementation Unit under the Urban Development Ministry, Shivahari Sharma.
Agitating Engineer Kapil Regmi said that out of 1,900 technicians deployed in these districts, 1,200 tendered their resignation together. He said that they were compelled to resign after the government turned a deaf ear towards their phase-wise agitation launched demanding arrangement of incentive allowance, insurance and office.
