CORRECTION: Constitution amendment should not be linked to its implementation-Oli


Damak  : CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that the political parties should now give attention towards achieving prosperity for the nation.
Laying the foundation stone for the blacktopping of the Dharampur-Paanchgachi road of the district today, the former Prime Minister said now that we have achieved political change, we need to move ahead with a common goal of development. “Nobody should play politics in development construction work, the time henceforth is of development and prosperity,” he said.
Leader Oli also emphasized on collaboration among the parties to implement the new constitution, which should start from holding elections at the three tiers of government. However, the issue of implementing the constitution should not be associated with its amendment, he added.
Ex-minister Agni Kharel, Member of Parliament Dipak Karki and Jhalak Singh Darlami of CPN (MC), among others also spoke on the occasion.
The nine-kilometer road is being blacktopped at the total cost of Rs. 93.7 million and is expected to be completed in two years.
