UDMF boycotts parliament meeting

Kathmandu : The parliamentarians of the United Madheshi Democratic Front have obstructed today’s meeting of the parliament.
On the behalf of the Front, Federal Socialist Forum’s parliamentary party leader Ashok Rai vented out his ire saying the government had not yet enforced the three-point agreement inked among Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Centre) and UMDF on August 3 despite the formation of a new government in line with that agreement.
Accusing that the government was apathetic towards the implementation of the three-point agreement, parliamentarian Rai reasoned that the boycott of today’s meeting was to pile pressure on the government to bring into effect the very agreement.
All the parliamentarians, including Rai, associated with the Front walked out of the parliament meeting obstructing the House meet.
