Chinese ambassador Yu calls on UML leader Nepal
Kathmandu, Jan 12: Chinese ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong called on CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal at latter’s residence in Koteshwar today.
During the meeting, UML leader Nepal wished Yu a successful full tenure, said leader Nepal’s personal secretary Mohan Gautam.
The former Prime Minister also referred to the mutual and historic relations between Nepal and China and the UML and the Communist Party of China, he said.
Nepal sticks to one china policy and becoming well aware of activities against China that may take place in Nepali territory, it is against such incidents, Gautam quoted Nepal as saying in the meeting.
Welcoming the ‘one belt one road’ concept forwarded by Chinese President Xi Jinping, UML leader Nepal said Nepal expects financial aid from China for the development of energy, trade, education, health, tourism and physical infrastructure and for financial prosperity of the country, Gautam added.
Leader Nepal expressed confidence that bilateral ties would be further expanded on the basis of mutual benefits and respect during Ms Yu’s tenure.
Similarly, Yu expressed pleasure on her appointment as China’s ambassador to Nepal terming Nepal a beautiful country and China’s good neighbour.
She further added to work more to strengthen bilateral ties working to materialize bilateral agreement held between two countries.
Chinese envoy shared that the government of China had the good wishes for the implementation of the constitution in Nepal. RSS
